At the end of July, the 2011 Energy Saving Project applied by SECCO ----- Flare Gas On-line Recovery & Energy Saving Revamp Project, obtained an energy saving reward of 3 million RMB from Shanghai Municipal Government.

After being established in 2009, technical route finalized and execution organized in 2010, the Flare Gas On-line Recovery & Energy Saving Project was put into operation in May 2011. Since it was put into use, it has been running quite well, it not only recovers organic substances leaked from plants, reduces demand for outsourcing energy, saves cost, but achieves obvious energy saving effects. After preliminary estimate, it can annually save energy above 14000t standard coal, and it also reduces a lot of waste gas emission.

Since being put into operation in 2005, SECCO attaches great importance to status of energy efficiency, via means like attending benchmarking, organizing professional testing, establishing energy audit, and introducing on-line energy management and optimization systems, achieving a parallel improvement of main energy-consumption equipment of plants and SECCO’s overall energy efficiency level. Since 2008 till now, SECCO has 7 projects which accumulatively obtained government energy-saving reward of 11.812 million RMB, achieving an annual energy-saving of 90083t standard coal.
